Don’t miss out on Mohawk’s production of the musical “Urinetown”, with shows tonight at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm.  As tech crew member Reality McCallister says, “This new musical has got it all: comedy, love, our water supply limitations, and political statements on consumerism!... Come and have a laugh with this funny and politically inclined musical!”  Last night’s opening night show was great!

 Middle School Music
In the last issue of News from Mohawk I wrote about middle school music teacher Gina Clark leaving.  I am pleased to announce that experienced music educator Rick Page (rpage@mohawkschools.org) has joined our faculty as the middle school band and chorus director this spring.  We are delighted to have Mr. Page join us!

Tuesday, March 8
Mohawk Music Association meeting at 6:30 pm in the library.  All are welcome.  

More upcoming Music Department events:

-  Saturday, March 10, 1:00 pm. Two Mohawk students performing with the All-State Chorus at the All-State Festival in Boston

-  Saturday, April 2, 8:30 am. High School Concert Band participating in the MICCA Festival, at Belchertown High School. 

-  Saturday, April 2, 3:00 pm. Some High School Band members performing in the Franklin County Honor Band at the Turners Falls High School auditorium. 

-  April 7-10. Worldstrides Heritage Exhibition Music Festival in Annapolis, MD for High School Band, Chorus, and Select Chorus members.
