Concert Chorus Performing for the Shelburne Falls Area Women's Club

"Songs to Warm the Heart (and the Toes)" performed by members of the Mohawk Regional High School Student Chorus, under the direction of Scott Halligan, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, at the Shelburne-Buckland Community Center in Shelburne Falls.

The program will follow the regular business meeting of the Shelburne Falls Area Women's Club, which begins at 7 p.m. Members and potential members of the club are invited to a social time beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the program. There is no admission charge but donations toward the music group's planned trip will be accepted. Light refreshments will also be served following the music program.

Scott Halligan has been at Mohawk for four years. Previously he taught music at Turners Falls High School and Great Falls Middle School. The Mohawk music department performs at 20 to 30 events each year, with more than 50 students participating in various music events.

The Shelburne Falls Area Women's Club was founded in 1925 and supports the Bridge of Flowers, scholarships for local students and other area community service projects. New members are always welcome. Dues are $20 per year.
