New Youth Orchestra

New Youth Orchestra!

The Pioneer Valley Symphony Youth Orchestra will have its inaugural season in the 2013-2014! They are currently accepting applicants (until April 29), and auditions will take place in May.

This is a great opportunity for instrumentalists to gain orchestral experience, and to play with student musicians from all over northwestern Massachusetts. Please consider auditioning!!

Meeting

The next Mohawk Music Association meeting is scheduled for Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the Mohawk library. 
Agenda:
  • Scott's report
  • Gina's report
  • Approve minutes of the last MMA meeting
  • Approve Treasurer's report
  • Update on the process of buying and paying for new uniforms for the music students
  • Discuss taking inventory and cleaning out MMA closet
  • Work on establishing an MMA activity calendar: make a timeline of the MMA's yearly activities and identify what/when we need volunteers for
  • Form the committee for this year's MMA scholarship awards
  • Discuss Rollo Kinsman scholarship (form, our donation, etc.)
  • Discuss senior banquet/activity

All shows are in the Mohawk school auditorium.

Tickets:  $7 for adults, $5 for seniors (65+), and $5 for students (k-12).

Tickets may be purchased in person at the school's main office or at any of the following local retailers:  Mo's Fudge Factor (Shelburne Falls), Mocha Maya's (Shelburne Falls), Elmer's Store (Ashfield), and World Eye Bookshop (Greenfield).

Tickets may also be purchased through the online ticketing system linked from the school website http://www.mohawkschools.org/mohawk.php (scroll to the bottom of Mohawk's website to see the ticket link).

There is also a toll free telephone number you can call to order your tickets:  1-866-967-8167. 

Tickets are $1 more if purchased online, and $1.50 more if you use the live operator.

There are no reservations. Tickets must be purchased in advance or purchased at the door (if available). Please buy your tickets in advance so you are not disappointed if the performances sell out.
